TOP QUESTIONS

DO YOU HELP TREAT TERMINAL OR CHRONIC ILLNESS?

With past experience treating many complex client cases such as Fibromyalgia, Cancer, Raynaud's, Neurological Disorders/Neuropathies, and more, I am equipped with the knowledge and skill level to treat those clients safely and effectively.
It is important to understand that as an RMT, I am part of your circle of care. However, RMT's treat the symptoms of the underlying condition and you should refer to your other health care practitioners about any issues arising or treatment needed for your underlying condition.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST TREATMENT?

The main thing you want to have in mind when coming in for your first treatment is what you want your RMT to address as your "chief complaint" as well as what your treatment goals are.
If you can describe your symptoms to the best of your ability, that allows me to narrow down what could be going on, how to assess concisely and what type of treatment should be performed to get you back on track to your daily life as soon as possible.

WHAT MEASURES ARE YOU TAKING TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID-19?

~Dual screening for each client - once upon booking and once upon arrival
~Following CMTO sanitation guidelines that have been set out by the Ministry of Health
~Frequent hand washing and sanitizing
~Everyone is to wear a mask during their appointment (even laying face-down) as well as when they're in the clinic
~Clients should come as close to their appointment time as possible
~Linens, pillows, and blankets changed and cleaned after each appointment
~Treatment room disinfected after each appointment
~All surfaces cleaned and disinfected often
~Contactless payment if possible
~Practie physical distancing
~RMT's are self-screening constantly

WOULD YOU RECOMMEND A TREATMENT LENGTH FOR ME?

Many people book 60-minute massages as that is the norm, however, you may be questioning if a shorter or longer time is right for you.
It is up to you which length you want, however, if you haven't had a massage in a while or ever, you may want to opt for a 60-minute treatment or longer. As well, if you have a more complex condition that you think you may need more time on the table, some extra measures (i.e. Kinesio taping), or some more time to talk with your RMT to receive clarity on your condition and treatment, the longer treatment time is in your favor.
A shorter treatment time would be beneficial to many people including but not limited to: heart conditions where certain positions compromise your circulatory health (i.e. laying on your stomach for a back massage treatment), wanting a specific area worked on in your treatment (i.e. feet and hands), less time in your daily life for treatment - but still needing treatment or your financial situation.
RMTs are always equipped to work with your needs and limitations and if you have any further questions, do not hesitate to call or email me!
