A BIT ABOUT ME
My love for horses started at a young age however, I didn't start riding seriously until my pre-teens.
I started out as a Western rider, giving me a great foundation of horsemanship skills and versatility. However, as I started to ride different horses, I was able to dabble in different disciplines. The discipline where I found my niche was in Dressage.
This discipline has been the foundation of how I coach my students, how I train my client's horses, and how I educate myself, ironically as it's so close to Western.
I feel that in my teaching and training, supplying a strong foundation for both horse and rider is much needed to benefit them in future training. I also pride myself on being able to encourage nervous riders or beginner youngsters to keep up their good work and by doing so, they progress in their skills at a quick pace.
I'm always trying to learn new skills and training techniques to keep my education up-to-date and of more variety so that I'm able to educate my present and future students on great horse care, horsemanship, and riding skills.
I also love to educate my students and trainees in a safe, kind, and understanding environment, as I feel this is what's needed to make the most of education.
I'm also able to communicate clearly through different teaching styles to be able to instruct students of all ages and abilities.
As a trainer, I want to always create a great relationship with horse and owner, solidify groundwork, and teach the horse proper basics at their pace in order to instill confidence in the horse that can translate confidence to the rider.
In training specifically, I specialize in rehabilitating horses who have had time off - no matter the length.

“Centered riders understand the harmonious relationship between knowledge and achievement. They’re active participants in their own education, reading the writings of the masters, observing other riders, and seizing opportunities to train with someone good.”
Douglas Puterbaugh, Dressage Trainer and Clinician
“Horsemanship should be fun. By learning how to control your horse in any situation, your confidence will greatly increase. When you’re confident, you can relax and enjoy your partnership.”
Clinton Anderson, Internationally Recognized Horseman and Clinician

TRAINING & EXERCISING
Specialized Training Programs and Regular Exercise Programs Available
Specializing in re-starting horses is a part of the horse industry that I think is a great niche to be in. I have found it to be very rewarding to earn a horse's trust and become their source of confidence to further their skills, break old habits, and form a new outlook on life. I enjoy problem-solving and find that when an obstacle has been overcome, the opportunities for that horse could be endless.
In my training, I focus a lot on groundwork and trust-building exercises as well as desensitizing work to build a horse's confidence, trust, and morale. Once they are confident on the ground, their confidence under saddle is improved and more skills can be built.
As all horses are different and some learn at different paces, I do not determine timelines. However, if a client is willing to learn about the training methods their horse is learning and can continue on with their horse after their time-frame has ended, this is highly encouraged.
Please contact me for rates and availability, I look forward to meeting you and your horse!
